Q. If I have an unsupported OS how do I upgrade to a
supported version?
A. There are basically two options. It may be possible to simply
upgrade the operating system without losing your data or installed
applications. You can do this yourself by obtaining the software
through the Marshall University Information Technology Service Desk check-out. You can also contact
the Service Desk at ext. 3200 or servicedesk@marshall.edu. They can assist in the
upgrade process. The second option would be to reimage your machine, thereby
installing a clean OS/applications package on your machine. See the previous
questions on the imaging process for further information.
