The Office of Academic Affairs is seeking volunteers who wish to facilitate a section of UNI 100 Freshman First Class for Fall 2013.  The facilitator will be responsible for convening the class during the Week of Welcome (WOW) for four non-consecutive hours and during designated class meetings.  Class sections will meet once per week for 50 minutes during the first 8 weeks of the semester.  Class section times will vary across days and times depending upon classroom availability.

 

Each facilitator will be required to attend training sessions in the spring and summer.  There will be at least two, perhaps three, training sessions that will be approximately one-hour each.  The total commitment required of a facilitator will be approximately 15 hours.  Because this will take place during the workday, any volunteer will need his/her supervisor’s permission.
