What is Student Support Services at Marshall University????
Student Support Services is one of the several federally funded TRiO grant programs at Marshall University. TRiO programs were established to help students overcome class, social, academic and cultural barriers to higher education. Each program serves a slightly different population and many work in conjuntion with one another to support students throughout different portions of their academic career.
Marshall University Student Support Services is funded to provide a host of FREE programming and support services to 200 Eligible participants. WE work individually with each student to help achieve his/her academic goals. Our goal is to help students successfully transition into college and progress to graduation.
How do I become part of Student Support Services?
YOU APPLY!! Each year the Marshall University Student Support Services an Admissions Officer identifies admitted eligible students. All participants must complete an application for admissions into the program. Student Support Services serves 200 Marshall University students (from freshmen to seniors) each year. This is a voluntary support service, thus only by returning an application in a timely fashion do you secure a place in the Marshall University Student Support Program.
