The SURE fellowship program is funded by the West Virginia Research Challenge Fund that is administered by the WV Higher Education Policy Commission, Division of Science and Research. This program is funded to encourage promising and enthusiastic young researchers in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. By providing support in the form of a $4000 stipend for a ten-week period, students can continue their research during the summer. The program seeks to encourage students who intend to pursue graduate degrees in the STEM fields.
