Last summer SOJMC online journalism major Mike Ramsburg gathered up his electronic tools and headed to Blair, West Virginia to cover “a major event in a small mountain community”. He did it the old fashioned way by marching along side the participants... he observed, he recorded, he photographed and he wrote. No professor assigned this, no editer required it, he did it for the pure love of journalism. Follow Mikes quest at //the battle for blair. |
Mike Ramsburg is an online journalism major at Marshall. He is also freelance multimedia journalist. His work has appeared in the Charleston Gazette, and on various websites including NicholasChronicle.com and WestVirginiaVille.com. Michael enjoys all forms of storytelling, and tries to capture the world around him through still photography, video production, audio production, and some graphic design work. In his free time Michael enjoys traveling, reading, writing, camping, and spending time with friends and family. He loves learning new languages (though he’s not very good at any of the four he’s tried to master), hates spaghetti, and is (still) trying to learn to dougie (though again he’s not very good at it).
