Programs
Marshall University SHEP can provide programming for any Marshall organization, such as:
- Residence Life
- Classes
- Greek Life
- Student Organizations
We offer a variety of health-related presentations, such as:
- Alcohol Awareness: Our presentation is called BASICS (Brief Alcohol Screening In College Students). The BASICS program combines brief motivational intervention and Marshall student social norms regarding alcohol use.
- Sexual Health: Our sexual health presentation involves discussion about Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI’s) and safe sexual behavior including abstinence, proper contraceptive use, and personal responsibility regarding STI’s and sexual partners.
- Stress Management: Stress is a facet of college life that is hard for many students to handle. SHEP presents a program that helps students address the areas of life that are causing the most stress and ways to reduce physical and mental anxiety associated with stress.
- Custom Programs: SHEP can work with your organization to create a health-related program that meets your needs. Just contact our office and help us help you create a program to serve your health needs in an informative way.
If you’d like to contact SHEP for a presentation, call us at 696-4800 or email at shep@marshall.edu. You can also talk to us in person at our office on the first floor of the Marshall University Recreation Center.
