Tobacco Use
Marshall University SHEP works very actively with the University’s chapter of the WV Against Tobacco (WV @) Coalition in helping reduce tobacco use on campus. In 2008, WV @ helped in eliminating smoking floors in residence halls, making all residence halls 100% smoke-free. Additionally, the WV Against Tobacco (WV @) Coalition collaborated efforts with Cabell County Health Department to ban smoking in bars in Cabell County in 2010.
Marshall University SHEP and the Cabell-Huntington Health Department offers smoking cessation classes. You can call our office at (304)696-4800 or email us at shep@marshall.edu for more information.
