History
Marshall’s Psi Chi chapter was installed in 1948 at the Frederick Hotel, at a time when Marshall University was known as Marshall College. The college wouldn’t officially be a university until the Spring of 1961. The faculty advisor at the time of the chapter’s installation was the current chair of the Psychology Department, Dr. Kenneth K. Loemker.
The initial officers were as follows:
