Undergraduate Minor in Mathematics
The Department of Mathematics offers an undergraduate minor in mathematics.
A minor in mathematics:
- provides expanded job opportunities in business,
education, government, and industry.
- prepares students for aptitude examinations requried for professional school
- can serve as a component of an application to law school.
The minor in mathematics is available for all majors at Marshall University other
than those in the Department of Mathematics.
Requirements for a Minor in Mathematics
The undergraduate minor requires four
courses, with at least a 2.0 grade point average and with at least two of the
courses taken at Marshall University. The complete minor requires 16–17 credit hours.
