HANDLEY

Special Collections has a number of cabinet cards and cart-de-visite cards taken by Handley.  These cards have the studio’s address as “948 Third Avenue / Huntington, W. Va”. The cards appear to date from the 1880-90s.
   Efforts to further identify Handley have proved difficult. Photographers moved around quite a bid during this period, so he may be the Albert Handley, who was born in 1866 in Ohio. He was listed as working as  a photographer in Jackson, Ohio, in the 1900 Ohio federal census.
