Aug 14. 1874
My Darling Ma.
Your letter of the
11th inst was received and not
with much pleasure this ^yesterday^ morning
I was up at Aunt Eliza's and
Aunt Julia sent it up to me.
with one from Mr Woods. I was
very glad to hear from him
also. as I had not heard for
nearly a week. He writes he has
been very sick, but is now about
well again.
I wrote you night before last
and sent you a [illegible] hope
you will like it. I thought
it very pretty. I am glad Mrs.
