Qualifications:
Bachelor's or high degree in related field (immunology, molecular biology, cell biology and biochemistry); preference will be given to those with experience in laboratory research and animal models. Applicants must posses basic knowledge of molecular and cell biology, have the ability to learn new techniques, understand the goals of the lab research projects and be self-motivated to achieve such goals. Ability to learn to use software programs for data recording and analyses. Must be willing to work with mice, have good interpersonal skills to work with students, departmental staff and scientists outside the university.
Duties:
Our lab is engaged in research of basic immunology, autoimmune and allergic diseases such as IBD, multiple sclerosis, diabetes and asthma. The applicants will perform experiments following existing protocols in the lab or published procedures. Accurately observe and record the experimental results, prepare written and oral reports. Maintain mouse colonies and work with animal models for the above-mentioned diseases. Order lab supplied and reagents, perform other duties necessary for routine operation of the lab.

Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Full-time position. Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. or MD in tissue engineering or related disciplines with considerable experience in surgery. The candidate will have knowledge of research techniques applicable to the areas of general surgery, animal model, cell and tissue culture, immunostaining, and biomaterials. The candidate is expected to develop novel type of tissue constructs for myocardial infarction repair and nerve injury repair. The candidate should be able to perform animal studies including general surgeries, tissue staining and functional characterizations.
Duties:
Fabricate scaffolds; perform physical and chemical characterization of the scaffolds; develop and characterize tissue constructs in vitro; assessing the tissue constructs in an animal model; write research papers and proposals.
