Regular admission to the university constitutes admission to the College of Science for entering freshmen and students transferring from other institutions of higher education. Students who do not meet the minimum ACT/SAT Math score of 21/500 and ACT/SAT Composite score of 21/1000 will be admitted to the College of Science as Undecided Majors until the following requirements are met:
Students who meet the requirements can declare a major in the College of Science.
Student wishing to transfer from another Marshall college must a C or higher in MTH 127 (or MTH 130) and ENG 101, or meet the ACT or SAT requirements stated above.
On average, a full-time student in the College of Science will carry a 16-credit hour course load each semester. This way a student can stay on track to graduate within four years.
The College of Science requires new Freshmen to take New Student Orientation (UNI 101) the first semester they attend Marshall. Mandatory advising is also part of the Freshman and Sophomore requirements.
