One of the primary aims of the Data and Survey Services Division is to provide demographic and economic data to entities and individuals in the region's public and private sectors to aid in promoting regional economic development.

As a partnering affiliate in the WV State Data Center network, the CBER is working with agencies to facilitate the use and delivery of U.S. Census and other data to the public.

The CBER has routinely supplied data to a diverse array of clients, including:

• The Nick J. Rahall, II Appalachian Transportation Institute
  
• The Robert C. Byrd Institute for Advanced Flexible Manufacturing
  
• The West Virginia Health Care Association
• Several WV Local Workforce Investment Boards

and many others.
