Established in the Fall of 2010 under the auspices of the founding Dean, Dr. Mary Todd, we are home to an energetic and exciting group of 600 scholars who represent many different majors and interests. Our honors curriculum of small interdisciplinary seminars, developed by talented faculty, is designed for thoughtful and highly capable students using authentic learning and scholarship. Our small class sizes, study lounges and computing facilities contribute to the success and well-being of our students. Mary Todd, Ph.D., is founding Dean of Marshall University’s Honors College. An American historian, her interdisciplinary fields include gender and women's studies, American religion, and the Holocaust. She currently serves as Executive Director of Phi Kappa Phi,the oldest and largest collegiate honor society dedicated to the recognition and promotion of academic excellence in all disciplines.
