Refund Schedule

Please note that refunds for schedule adjustments, withdrawals, etc. take approximately 3 weeks to process.  Financial aid recipients must have their accounts reviewed and approved by the Office of Student Financial before a refund may be issued.  In some instances, monies may have to be returned to the funding source.

Intersession

100% refund April 1  - May 12
90% refund May 13 – 14
75% refund May 15 – 17
50% refund May 18 – 24

Summer I

100% refund April 1  - May 19
90% refund May 20 – 28
75% refund May 29 - June 10
50% refund June 11 – 28

Summer II

100% refund April 1  - June 9
90% refund June 10 – 12
75% refund June 13 – 17
50% refund June 18 – 25

Summer III

100% refund April 1  - July 15
90% refund July 16 – 18
75% refund July 19 – 23

Students Receiving Financial Assistance:
Students receiving financial assistance covered by Title IV of the 1992 Higher Education Act, who officially shall receive a refund in accordance with the Higher Education Amendments of 1998. Marshall University will determine how much Title IV aid a student has received and not earned at the time of total withdrawal. The amount of aid earned is calculated on a prorata basis through 60% of the payment period.
