| Student Development |
Students' major concerns were regarding relationships.
Results will be used to help develop Student Development Strategic Plan for the 2008-2009 academic year. Results will also be used when planning programs, advertising and scheduling training for the staff. |
||||
| Alcohol Survey |
Results from this survey, which suggest that students do not drink excessively,
will be taken into consideration when developing BASICS (alcohol education)
programming for the UNI 101 classes and other campus presentations. Results will also be used to evaluate current programming and to aid in marketing. Data will be used during alcohol education to debunk myths that students may have about alcohol issues on campus. For instance, students may believe that most Marshall students drink alcohol on a frequent basis. The results of this survey, as well as previous surveys, do not back up these beliefs. |
||||
| Tobacco Survey |
Majority of students do not smoke and would like a smoke-free campus. The data from this survey will be used to plan programs for the 2008-2009 school year, and for marketing and anti-tobacco campaigns. |

| Student Health Services |
Plan to work with a treatment provider to offer students an option that will
extend the hours of available health care and offer it closer to campus.
This would be a voluntary enrollment for an additional fee. Student Health personnel will address some of the specific issues raised in order to improve services. Plan to make the Student Health Services webpage more informative and accessible. |
